United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity: Communication and Coordination Assistant in Palestine.
Duration:
6 months (with possibility of extension)
Duties & responsibilities
- Supporting coordination and implementation of the programme’s activities in the West Bank and Gaza.
- Contribute to the UNODC technical assistance efforts, focusing on the logistical support.
- Support with producing high-quality programme progress reports as per UNODC and donor requirements
- Organizing and managing seminars, workshops, press conferences and field visits as required.
- Support in the drafting, editing, and distributing of communications products covering UNODC’s work in Palestine, including social media content, web stories, press releases, newsletters, leaflets and etc.
- Undertake field visits to gather the information and results related to the programme.
- Other duties as needed.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 18 - 26
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 1 years of experience in the field of social work, human rights or any other related field.
- Previous experience in the area of criminal justice, Youth and Drugs.
- Experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills.
- Ability to learn, work, and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment, and in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet. Familiarity with office technology equipment.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Sound security awareness.

Required education level:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in BA in Social science, social work, or any other relevant field
