Zhejiang normal University is offering The Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship sponsors students who are studying at or applying to study at higher education institutions (HEIs) in Zhejiang Province.

International students who apply to study or are studying in Zhejiang Province pursuing a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, a doctoral degree, or as a long-term general scholar.

Class A Scholarship: The Class A Scholarship sponsors students at a rate of 30,000 RMB/person/year.

Class B Scholarship: The Class B Scholarship sponsors students at a rate of 20,000 RMB/person/year.

Eligibility criteria

Application Requirements

  1. Basic requirements
  2. Applicants who apply for undergraduate programs should be under 30 years old and hold High School Diplomas.
  3. Applicants who apply for postgraduate programs should be under 35 years old and hold Bachelor's Degree Certificates and 2 recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.
  4. Applicants who apply for doctoral degree programs should be under 40 years old and hold Master Degree Certificates and 2 recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.

Other requirements

  1. Applicants should be friendly and healthy with foreign nationality and passports;
  2. Applicants should observe disciplines and obey laws.
  3. Applicants who apply for programs taught in Chinese should provide HSK Certificates or other Chinese language proficiency certificates. Applicants who apply for programs taught in English should provide IELTS, TOEFL or GRE Certificates or other English language proficiency certificates.
  4. No other scholarships.

Required documents:

  1. Registration photo
  2. Copy of passport (the photo page)
  3. Cope of visa (applicants in China)
  4. Copy of your notarized highest diploma (Prospective students must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations. Please take the original copy of your current highest diploma with you for registration.)
  5. Copy of your final academic transcripts (Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.)
  6. Foreigner physical examination form: (Download at PHYSICAL EXAMINATION RECORD FOR FOREIGNER.pdf. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.)
  7. Police Certificate
  8. A statement of no drug addiction history No Drug Addiction Statement.docx
  9. Bank Statement of one semester tuition fee
  10. HSK and HSKK certificates (For Chinese taught programs)
  11. TOEFL over 80 points or IELTS5.5 and over (non-English speaking applicants for English taught programs)
  12. Study or research plan (in English)
  13. Two recommendation letters (for postgraduate programs)
  14. Acceptance letter issued by the supervisor (for doctorate programs)
  15. Transfer certificate (applicants studying in other universities in China)
  16. Other supporting documents
