The UAE Volunteer Platform invites you to volunteer with Zayed National Museum to bring joy and enrichment to individuals with early-stage dementia and their caregivers. Create meaningful connections and promote a healthy lifestyle through engaging workshops and stimulating conversations. This is your chance to be a part of something special.
Duties & responsibilities
- Assist with Setup: to set up the workshop space, arrange materials, and ensure that everything is in order and ready before the workshop begins.
- Participants Registration.
- Provide Guidance and support to participants to engage in the workshop and answer their questions and provide any clarification when needed.
- Encourage grope discussion and ensure all participants are involved and understand the workshop/activity correctly.
- One-on-one Assistance: to offer extra help when needed, especially for those who require personalized support.
- Ensure the safety of participants during the workshop and address any safety concerns that may arise.
- Helping to convey information or feedback as necessary.
- Distribute workshop materials and resources when required.
- Maintain records of attendance, feedback, or any other relevant data.
- Ensure that all participants fill out the survey after the completion of the workshop.
- Collect feedback regarding their experience.
- Cleaning up and restoring the workshop studio after the session ends.
- Attend any training sessions or orientations provided by the museum team and workshop lead to get a better understanding on the content, goals, and expectations of each workshop.

Eligibility criteria
You must follow the following criteria:
- The program is open to 30 volunteers.
- Participation is available to both genders.
- Proficiency in Arabic.
- UAE citizens only.
- From 23 years to 40 years.
- Volunteers who pass the interview will have to commit to the full duration of the event.
- Volunteers must attend the orientation.
- Conduct an interview with the volunteer before starting the event.
- Training the volunteers before starting the event on how to deal with senior citizens (volunteers will be informed in advance via WhatsApp).
