Opportunity description
Tamkeen for legal aid and human rights has launched 2021 round of its competition for best press report addressing both child labor and beggary in Jordan. This competition aims to provide support for journalists in their pursuit of creating visual, audio and written media materials on this issue.
Benefits
Prizes presented to the winners are divided as follows:
- First prize: 1000 Jordanian dinars.
- Second prize: 600 Jordanian dinars.
- Third prize: 300 Jordanian dinars.
Eligibility criteria
- Addressing a topic that is closely related to one of the following issues: child labor and beggary, or child trafficking for work.
- Taking on an in-depth perspective for its topics, and utilizing modern creative tools and resources such as data analysis and infographics.
- The submitted media material/report must has been published in either written, electronic, audio or visual media.
- It also should have been published between January 1, 2021 and November 14, 2021.
- Each journalist is allowed to submit only one report in the visual, audio, multimedia or print categories.
- The journalist must not have submitted this report/media material for Tamkeen competition for the best journalistic work in the previous year 2020.
