Danish Refugee Council is an international humanitarian organization founded in Denmark in 1956. The organization focuses on supporting refugees, displaced people, and communities affected by conflicts and disasters around the world. It operates in dozens of countries to provide humanitarian assistance, protection services, education, psychosocial support, and livelihood programmes, in addition to responding to emergencies and humanitarian crises. The organization also works toward creating sustainable solutions that help affected communities regain stability and build a better future, in cooperation with the United Nations, international organizations, and local governments.
