The New York Public Library – NYPL

The New York Public Library (NYPL) is one of the largest and most prominent public library systems in the United States. It was founded in 1895 in New York City and today operates 92 locations across Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island, in addition to several world-renowned specialized research centers. The Library holds more than 54 million items, including books, manuscripts, research collections, and digital materials. It serves researchers, students, writers, and members of the public from around the world. NYPL also runs a range of research, cultural, and educational programs, including the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers, which offers fellowships for scholars, writers, and creatives to focus on research and writing while making use of the Library’s extensive collections.
