The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is one of the leading educational initiatives of the U.S. Department of State, aimed at supporting undergraduate students with limited financial resources to pursue study or internship opportunities abroad. Launched in 2001, the program is implemented in partnership with the Institute of International Education. It provides financial scholarships that enable students to gain international experience combining academic learning with cultural exchange, helping them develop global skills, broaden their cultural understanding, and prepare to become leaders capable of working in diverse international environments.
