The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is one of the cultural bodies affiliated with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture. It works to develop and regulate the literature, publishing, and translation sectors, while supporting writers, translators, publishers, and creatives and promoting literary and cultural production in the Kingdom. The Commission launches a range of cultural programs and initiatives aimed at developing practitioners’ skills, supporting literary projects, and encouraging cultural exchange and communication between local and international writers. One of its most notable initiatives is the Writers’ Retreats and Residency Program, which provides a creative environment for writers to work on their literary projects and engage with different cultures and experiences.
