Awards of up to $30,000 for Screenwriters from the CWA Screenwriting Competition

The Creative World Awards (CWA) Screenwriting Competition is now available for all screenwriters all over the world who want to participate with their films and win more than $30,000 in cash & prizes. Creative World Awards (CWA) discovers and advances talented screenwriters, helping them garner the exposure and recognition they need to propel their projects forward.

Competition Categories:-

• Action Adventure Feature Screenplay.

• Comedy Feature Screenplay.

• All Drama/Family Feature Screenplay.

• Horror/Thriller/Fantasy Feature Screenplay.

• Short Screenplay.

• Original Sitcom Teleplay.

• Original Drama Teleplay.

Awards:-

• More than $30,000 in cash & prizes, including a possible production opportunity to help the writer extend their industry credits.

• Grand Prize Winner:

  • $3,000 cash plus the opportunity to have their winning script produced into a short film. 

  • CWA will produce a short film version of the script to help generate interest for the feature script. 

  • The short film will then get a guaranteed premiere at the Richmond International Film Festival, giving the writer an official imdb credit. If CWA or the winner choose to forgo this option, the winner receives an additional $1,000. Plus, the GPW also receives:

    • Final Draft software.

    • The MIX Writing Course.

    • Free Entry into the Richmond International Film Festival.

    • InkTip Script Listing and InkTip Magazine Listing.

    • Stage 32, Two Free Pitch Sessions.

• 4 CATEGORY 1st RUNNERS UP – $150 cash each, plus a prize package that includes:

  • Stage 32, One Free Pitch Session.

  • InkTip Script Listing and InkTip Magazine Listing.

• Television Categories – $250 cash each, plus a prize package that includes:

  • The MIX Writing Course.

  • Stage 32, Two Free Pitch Sessions.

  • Free Entry into the Richmond International Film Festival.

• Short Film Script: $250 cash, plus a prize package that includes:

  • The MIX Writing Course.

  • Free Entry into the Richmond International Film Festival.

  • Plus, if the writer produces the short, it gets a guaranteed premiere at the Richmond International Film Festival as Official Selection.

• Creative Concept / Innovative Spirit Award: This award goes to the most original and compelling concept that also conveys a redemptive or innovative theme. Winner receives:

  • The MIX Writing Course.

  • Free Entry into the Richmond International Film Festival.

  • Stage 32, One Free Pitch Session.

  • Private Development Coaching Session with CWA Founder.

• The participation isn’t free and there are submission fees according to each category.
