<p>DAAD`s program &ldquo;Development-Related Postgraduate Courses&rdquo; (EPOS) is offering scholarship opportunities for Master studies at a German university starting in 2019/2020. With its development-oriented postgraduate study programmes, the DAAD promotes the training of specialists from development and newly industrialised countries.</p><p>The scholarships offer foreign graduates from development and newly industrialised countries from all disciplines and with at least two years&#39; professional experience the chance to take a postgraduate or Master&#39;s degree at a state or state-recognised German university, and in exceptional cases to take a doctoral degree, and to obtain a university qualification (Master&#39;s/PhD) in Germany.</p><h2><strong>Who can apply?</strong></h2><p>Candidates who graduated not longer than 6 years before the application deadline and who have obtained at least two years of professional work experience related to the Master`s course.</p><h2><strong>Duration of the funding:</strong></h2><p>12 to 36 months (dependent on study program).</p><h2><strong>Scholarship value:</strong></h2><p>[1] Depending on academic level, monthly payments of 750 euros for graduates or 1,000 euros for doctoral candidates.</p><p>[2] Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover.</p><p>[3] Travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding.</p><h2><strong>Courses offered:</strong></h2><ul><li>Economic Sciences/ Business Administration/ Political Economics.</li><li>Development Cooperation.</li><li>Engineering and Related Sciences.</li><li>Mathematics.</li><li>Regional and Urban Planning.</li><li>Agricultural and Forest Sciences.</li><li>Natural and Environmental Sciences.</li><li>Medicine and Public Health.</li><li>Social Sciences, Education and Law.</li><li>Media Studies.</li></ul><h2><strong>Requirements:</strong></h2><h4><strong>The Typical Scholarship Holder:</strong></h4><p>[1] Works either for a public authority or a state or private company in a developing country.</p><p>[2] Holds a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (normally four years) in a related subject.</p><p>[3] Has completed an academic degree with far above average results (upper third) and at least two years of related professional experience after the first degree (bachelor).</p><p>[4] His/her academic degrees should normally not be more than six years old.</p><h4><strong>Language Skills:</strong></h4><ul><li>For study courses in German (scholarship includes a 6-month German language course): DSH 2 or TestDaF 4 at the beginning of the study course; a minimum German language level of A2 at the time of application.
