FoPe Fest International Folklore Festival for Amateur and Professional Artists 2021

FoPe Fest International Festival of Folk & People Arts invites amateur and professional artists around the world to participate in their artwork, whether it is music, literature, film, or visual arts.

Festival Categories:

Dance/Music

• Allowed file format: .mp4 / .avi / .wmv / .mov
• Maximum file size: 1.5GB
• All information and descriptions shall be in English.
• If the same Author is submitting more than one Work, please use one submission form for each Work.

Literature:

• Allowed file format: docs / .pdf / .jpg
• For the purpose of selection, please include:
  • POETRY – full Work
  • GRAPHIC NOVEL – max 70 pages
  • FICTION – max 20 pages
• Maximum file size: 1.5GB
• If English is not the original language of the Work, the translation shall be provided.
• Information and descriptions shall be in English.
• If the same Author is submitting more than one Work, please use one submission for each Work.

Movies:

• Allowed file format: .mp4 / .avi / .wmv / .mov
• Work running time:
  • SHORT – up to 40 minutes
  • DOCUMENTARY – up to 50 minutes
  • FEATURE – 41 minutes or longer
• Maximum file size: 2GB
• If English is not the language of the Work, English subtitles shall be included.
• All information and descriptions shall be in English.
• If the same Author is submitting more than one Work, please use one submission from each Work.

Visual Arts:

• Allowed file format: .pdf / .jpg
• Maximum file size: 1.5GB
• All information and descriptions shall be in English.
• If the same Author is submitting more than one Work, please use one submission from each Work.

• Best performance award.
• Best performer award.
• TBD+ award.

• The official language is English.
• Works shall portray people and country cultures, traditions, and customs.
• The festival will be held in September 2021.
• Individual artists, groups of artists, art professionals, and amateurs from all over the world are invited to submit their works if relevant to the scope of the festival.
• There is no limit to the amount of Works the same Author can submit.
• Max 2 Works each section, max 1 Work each sub-section by the same Author will be selected.
• The same Author can submit Works to more than one section given the above rules.
• Works that are solely promotional, educational, or scientific in character are not eligible for selection.
• Works completed in 2018 and after can be submitted.
• Information and descriptions the Author will provide during the submission process will be used on and off-line in all Festival materials and publications.
• By submitting the Work, the Author agrees the festival use the Work and provided information for the purpose of the festival and its fulfillment.
• Submitted Work must be uploaded during the submission process.
• Submission is free.
• Authors of selected Works will be able to confirm or decline participation.
• Authors of selected Works undertake to make mention in their publicity and advertising materials of the selection of the Work for the Festival by featuring the official logo which will be supplied by the festival. The logo must not under any circumstances be modified or altered without the prior permission of the festival.

FoPe Fest – International Festival of Folk & People Arts – aims to promote cultures, traditions, and people customs through music, dance, literature, film, and visual arts. The first edition in 2020 was a web-based event.
