<p>The Bird and Nature Festival invites photographers to participate in its 2020 International WildBird Photo <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Competition</strong></a>. The objective is to use photography as pedagogic and artistic support to promote knowledge of birds, and thus promote commitment to their conservation.</p><h3>Who can participate:</h3><ol><li>Competition is open to everybody, amateur and professional, of whatever nationality, aged 15 and older.</li><li>Each participant will be able to present a maximum of 10 photographs.</li></ol><h3>Categories of Competition:</h3><ol><li>Lunchtime: Granivorous, insectivorous, herbivorous, piscivorous or omnivorous, the bird must be feeding, fishing or hunting.</li><li>Bird in love: Birds are masters in the art of seduction. (Ex: moments of tenderness, parades, offerings or mating.</li><li>Bird over the seasons: Ex: bird facing weather hazards or photographed in a seasonal atmosphere.</li><li>The artistic vision of a bird: The creativity of the photographer must transform the mundane into a contemplative and artistic interpretation and offer a new perspective on the bird.</li><li>Other flying species: A new category reserved for flying insects (dragonflies, butterflies, bees, etc.).</li><li>Category dedicated to 15-17-year-old:&nbsp;(legal age as of Dec. 2nd, 2019 at midnight), and with a unique theme wild bird.</li></ol><h3>Specifications of eligible photos:&nbsp;</h3><ol><li>JPEG format.</li><li>Free of margin, frame or signature.</li><li>3:2 ratio</li><li>3,500 pixels on its longest side (the shortest side should be of about 2,333 pixels).</li></ol><p>Note that: Registration fee for each submitted photo for over 18-year-old categories is &euro; 2 / photo, and as for 15-17 years-old category participation is free.</p><h3>Prizes:</h3><ol><li>A Grand Prix to the overall winner awarded with an amount of &euro;1,500.</li><li>A 1st Prize in each category awarded with an amount of &euro;800.</li><li>A 1st Prize for the category &laquo;Young Photographers&raquo; awarded with material endowments.</li><li>A Public Prize awarded to the picture which has totalized the more votes from the visitors to the exhibition, endowed by the Festival&rsquo;s partners.</li></ol><p>Each winner will get:</p><ol><li>Invitation to the Award Ceremony. It will be offered for 2 persons: 1-night hotel with breakfasts.</li><li>A return train ticket Paris-Abbeville-Paris (SNCF) or the equivalent in cash.</li><li>A meal with nominated entrants (directors, producers, and photographers).</li></ol><h3>About The Bird and Nature Festival:</h3><p>Since 1991, the Bay of Somme, an internationally recognized as a major spot on the migratory routes, celebrates the return of spring and birds with the Bird and Nature Festival.
