Opportunity description

Collateral Repair Project in Jordan is looking for volunteers and interns to be part of the Family Resource and Community Center. Volunteers help run programs, while interns provide more general administrative support, such as fundraising, social media, and data management. Interns are required to commit more hours per week, and for a longer period of time, than volunteers.

Volunteering:

  1. The project expects volunteers to work for a minimum of three months, and those who can commit for longer periods will be given priority. You will be expected to commit a minimum of 2 to 4 hours a week.
  2. Volunteers help run programs such as the After-School Club or English classes. English teaching volunteers must be native English speakers. After-School club volunteers must speak Arabic at a native or near-native level (preferably Jordanian dialect).
  3. Volunteers with specific skills in areas such as dance, art, and martial arts are encouraged to apply for After-School club positions.

Interning:

  1. The project requires interns to stay for a minimum of three months, and priority will be given to those who can commit for longer periods. Interns are required to work 20 to 25 hours a week, spread over three to four full days.
  2. For interns, knowledge of Arabic is useful but not essential.
  3. The project offers internships in communication, marketing, photography/videography, donor relations, grants, and data analytics (including data engineering, infrastructure, user interface, and project management).

Donor Relations Scope of Work:

  1. Marketing operations support.
  2. Take ownership of donor inquiries, provide level 1 support, and elevate issues as necessary to provide timely and high-quality support for our donors.
  3. Promptly respond to all inquiries and provide a positive and grateful experience for all donor interactions.
  4. Keep donor interactions logged in Salesforce.
  5. Provide input and develop plans to improve donor experience with Collateral Repair Project.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Examples of the type of projects the intern would be responsible for:

  1. Maintain and grow donor database using Salesforce.
  2. Gather past information about donors, including donation history and relationship history in an excel format.
  3. Work with the Director of Data and Marketing to adapt Salesforce to meet the project’s needs.
  4. Import donor history into Salesforce.
  5. Work with the Director of Data and Marketing to build a plan to keep Salesforce fresh and usable for internal donor relations stakeholders.
  6. Develop new processes.
