Opportunity description
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is offering Master of Philosophy Development Scholarships for African students for 2021 in Australia. Depending on the faculty you'll be studying in, you may have to meet specific eligibility criteria for Creative Industries Faculty, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Health, Faculty of Law, QUT Business School and Science and Engineering Faculty.
Eligibility Criteria:
- You must meet the admission criteria for a Master of Philosophy.
- You must apply for and be accepted into a Master of Philosophy.
- You must be a new and commencing international student.
- QUT Master of Philosophy Development Scholarships is not Australian Government-funded scholarships. You and any dependents are not exempt from visa application fees under this scholarship.
- Depending on your previous experience and qualifications, you may need to meet English language requirements. You can find your English language requirements in your course information. QUT accepts test results from IELTS (Academic) 6.5, TOEFL iBT (Internet-based) 79, Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) 58, Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) 176 and Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) C1.
- Each year, QUT will pay each student the full value of their MPhil Development scholarship stipend unless that student has commenced late or suspended their MPhil Development scholarship or the MPhil Development scholarship has been terminated. Where a student is not enrolled over the full period of the year, because of a late commencement or periods of suspension, QUT will pay at least the proportion of the annual stipend for the period in which study is undertaken for that year.
To Keep your Scholarship, you must:
- Make satisfactory progress in your studies.
- Remain to study at QUT.
- Be enrolled as an internal student.
- Remain to study full time.
You'll Receive:
A living allowance for 1.5 years, indexed annually ($28,092 in 2020). The scholarship is for full-time students and can be used to support living costs, in addition to a research degree tuition fee sponsorship together with OSHC.
