The University of Winchester is now offering the Peacewin Scholarships for graduate students who want to study their Master’s Degree in Reconciliation and Peacebuilding at the Centre of Religion, Reconciliation, and Peace, University of Winchester, England. These scholarships are available for students from a conflict-affected region or post-conflict country. 

About the Program:

  1. The MA programs offer a unique opportunity to study reconciliation and peacebuilding and the role of religion, in a supportive yet challenging environment with fascinating students from around the world. 
  2. In addition, the program has the following overview:-
  • Get hands-on experience with peacebuilding projects and organizations
  • Learn from people working in the field of peace and reconciliation 
  • A strong foundation in both the study and practice of reconciliation and peacebuilding
  • Develop a comprehensive and critical understanding of a broad range of contemporary debates relevant to the study of peacebuilding and reconciliation
  • Acquire advanced abilities in critically evaluating peacebuilding and reconciliation theories and concepts and applying them to practice world-wide.

The Program Duration:

  1. Each Master's program is organized into modules that are offered within a two-semester system academic year. All offer taught modules for the first two-thirds of the program. The final third is based on self-directed learning concentrating extended critical awareness and research skills. It culminates with the production of the dissertation, consultancy or other projects.
  2. Average length: 12 months full-time or 24 months part-time

  3. Requirements: 180 credits taken in two semesters full-time and a further period of study, or 180 credits taken over four semesters and a further period of study.
