<p>Creative Shock invites <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/opportunity" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bachelor&#39;s</a> and <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/opportunity" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Master&#39;s</a> students from around the world to participate in the global social business case <a href="https://www.for9a.com/opportunity/category/scholarships/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">competition</a>. This competition, which was first held in 2011, aims to introduce students to real-life global social business models and to communicate how all traditional business strategies can be applied to social enterprises and organizations, improve students&rsquo; strategic thinking by challenging them with real marketing and management problems, promote social business all around the world. Participants have to solve two social business cases in the preliminary rounds. The best 10 teams gather in Vilnius, Lithuania to solve the two final cases.</p><h3>Eligibility Criteria:</h3><ul><li>All participants must be Bachelor&rsquo;s, Master&rsquo;s, or MBA students from any discipline who will still be studying at University by the end of the competition on November 29th, 2020.</li><li>Participants may apply either individually or in teams of 3-4 members. Those who register as individuals will be given an opportunity to join the Facebook group and find their teammates there.</li><li>Each team must appoint a team captain who will be responsible for communication between the team and the Creative Shock organizers.</li><li>There is no limit of teams that are able to participate from the same University/Institution.</li><li>A participant is not allowed to be a member of more than one team.</li><li>Team members are allowed to be from different universities and countries.</li><li>Organizers of previous years&rsquo; Creative Shock are not able to participate.</li><li>By applying to Creative Shock every applicant agrees to receive newsletters from the organization.</li></ul><h3>Preliminary Rounds:</h3><ul><li>Each registered team is given two preliminary social business case studies to solve which are later evaluated by a team of experts. The weights of the first and second preliminary cases are 60% and 40% respectively.</li><li>All material that is related to the competition will be provided in English.</li><li>All assignments of any competition round have to be solved and submitted in English.</li><li>The teams which send the solutions after the given deadline will be disqualified.</li><li>All the material provided for the participants must not be used for any commercial purposes without permission from Creative Shock organizers.</li><li>The preliminary rounds take place online.</li></ul><h3>Final Weekend:</h3><ul><li>Top 10 teams that will be invited to the Final Weekend in Vilnius will have to pay a 30 EUR/per person participation fee.</li><li>During the Final Weekend, teams will have to solve the final business case and present them before the honorable jury.</li><li>All the expenses for the finalists during the competition (November 26th to November 29th) will be covered (accommodation, food, various activities, etc.) except traveling costs. Many universities are willing to cover the traveling costs as this is a possibility for their students to learn, improve, and adapt the skills learned at the university practically.</li><li>Due to the situation with COVID-19 competition may be held online.</li><li>Participants from countries with closed borders and enforced quarantine after arrival will not be able to participate in the final weekend due to COVID-19 situation, however, they can participate in preliminary rounds.</li></ul><h3>Prizes:</h3><ul><li>The winning team gets 2000 EUR grand prize.</li><li>OTHER PRIZES WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON.</li></ul><h3>Contest Timeline:</h3><ul><li>Registration: 9 September 2020 - 29 September 2020</li><li>First preliminary round 30 September 2020 - 7 October 2020</li><li>Second preliminary round 8 October 2020 - 16 October 2020</li><li>Final weekend 26 November 2020 - 29 November 2020</li></ul><h3>About Creative Shock:</h3><p>Creative Shock is an annual business case competition for students.
