Create a short video &ndash; up to 60 seconds &ndash; about human population growth that highlights one of the following global challenges: Promoting Environmental Justice, Strengthening Global Health, Re-Imagining Industrial Systems.<h3 dir="ltr">Competition Theme:-</h3><ul><li dir="ltr">We now live in a world of over 7 billion people and demographers expect us to reach 9 billion by mid-century.</li><li dir="ltr">Human population growth exacerbates many of the innumerable challenges facing our global society.</li><li dir="ltr">Taking on these complex challenges and finding solutions will require understanding, cooperation and creativity.</li><li dir="ltr">Create a short video &ndash; up to 60 seconds &ndash; about human population growth that highlights one of the following global challenges: Promoting Environmental Justice, Strengthening Global Health, Re-Imagining Industrial Systems. All videos must include:<ul><li dir="ltr">How population growth impacts the issue.</li><li dir="ltr">At least one idea for a sustainable solution.</li></ul></li></ul><h3 dir="ltr">Possible Topics:-</h3>Consider narrowing your focus by concentrating on a subtheme within your topic. Possible subthemes include:<ul><li dir="ltr">Promoting Environmental Justice &ndash; Food deserts, climate migrants, placement of hazardous waste sites, effects of the fossil fuel industry, redlining, mistreatment of indigenous peoples and land, environmental racism.</li><li dir="ltr">Strengthening Global Health &ndash; Access to health care, pandemics and emergency response, disease spread (zoonotic and vector-borne), maternal health, sanitation, health effects of environmental pollution.</li><li dir="ltr">Re-Imagining Industrial Systems &ndash; Procurement of raw materials, waste management, brownfields/CAFOs, energy production, production/distribution of consumer goods, occupational health and safety.</li></ul><h3 dir="ltr">Terms and Conditions:-</h3><ul><li dir="ltr">All entries must be a digital video.</li><li dir="ltr">Each entry must focus on ONE of following global challenges as it relates to population growth:</li><li dir="ltr">Promoting Environmental Justice</li><li dir="ltr">Strengthening Global Health</li><li dir="ltr">Re-Imagining Industrial Systems</li><li dir="ltr">Students may work together in groups or submit entries as individuals.</li><li dir="ltr">The length of the video should not exceed 60 seconds (one minute), not including the 5 second title screen.</li><li dir="ltr">The judges&rsquo; decision is final. Entries will be judged by topic, with winners in each of the three global challenge areas: Sustaining Water Systems, Ensuring Economic Opportunities, Improving Climate Resiliency.
