Opportunity description

Rotary International is inviting photographers all over the world to participate in the Vincent Van Gogh Photo Award. Let the theme ‘PURE’ inspire you in a contemporary way. Think out of the box, just like Vincent used to do. Let the camera be your paint brush and participate in this contest.

Competition Theme:-

  • Enter your best image(s) in relation to this year's theme: PURE – through the eyes of van Gogh.

  • Pure is unmistakable for the work of Vincent van Gogh and was partly chosen as the theme for this 3rd. Vincent van Gogh Photo Award edition. 

  • An inspiring theme with many creative possibilities and freedom, and certainly something that plays in the present time.

    • Is water still pure? Our food? Nature? Are people still pure and who and what are they, especially in this age of social media? Can we still be pure?

Eligibility and Conditions:-

  • Participation in this event is open to everyone (amateur and professional).

  • Each participant may submit a maximum of three, in relation to the theme 'PURE' (through the eyes of Vincent van Gogh), self-contained, photos. 

  • Each participant may submit an unlimited number of entries ( with max. 3 photos/entry).

  • Pornographic-, sexual-, violent-, and / or offensive material will not be posted. The Foundation reserves the right to refuse these photographs.

  • In addition to the Vincent van Gogh Photo Award, this edition will also include a competition for students.

  • The competition has a participation fee as following:

    • Vincent Van Gogh Photo Award

      • One Single Images: €10.

      • Two Images: €15.

      • Three Images: €20.

    • Student Award

    • One Single Images: €5.

    • Two Images: €7.

    • Three Images: €10.

Entries Specifications:-

  • Only digital photo(s) can be accepted. Each picture file is to be enclosed in RGB, JPG format, of at least 3000 pixels (longest side), 300 dpi, and a file size of at least 2 MB and preferably not more than 4 MB. The images should be sent without frames, watermarks or logos.
  • Image Manipulation, given the adding or removing of certain picture elements so that the content of the photo changes, is not allowed. Light editing is allowed.

Prizes:-

  • Vincent Van Gogh Photo Award

    • Winner: €1000.

    • Second Place: €500.

    • Third Place: €250.

  • Student Award

    • Winner: €500.

    • Second Place: €250.

    • Third Place: €125.
