Opportunity description

Aalto University in Finland offers a range of competitive scholarships for international students applying to English-taught bachelor’s and master’s programs.

These scholarships are known as the Aalto University Excellence Scholarships and are awarded to academically outstanding applicants in the form of a 100% tuition fee waiver for the standard duration of the degree program.

This opportunity is considered one of the leading funded bachelor’s and master’s scholarships in Finland for students from outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, and Switzerland, including students from various Arab countries.

Students apply for the scholarship at the same time as they submit their academic admission application by indicating their interest in competing for the scholarship within the application form. There is no separate scholarship application that can be submitted after the admission period has ended.

The university awards only a very limited number of tuition fee waivers. Applicants are evaluated based on academic excellence and the specific assessment criteria of each program. Some programs may decide not to offer scholarships during a particular admission cycle, even if they admit students who are required to pay tuition fees.
