The Al Minbar Institute in Rabat, Morocco, has opened applications for the Atlas Scholarship – Winter 2026, one of the partially or fully funded study opportunities designed for individuals who wish to learn Arabic or improve their Arabic language skills through an intensive, in-person programme in Morocco.
The programme offers several levels of financial support, with applicants able to compete for scholarships covering between 50% and 100% of tuition fees. This allows successful applicants to receive partial or full tuition support depending on the scholarship category they are awarded.
The programme aims to support students and individuals interested in studying Arabic and encourage the learning of Arabic as a foreign language. Participants take part in an intensive educational experience that combines classroom learning with direct exposure to the Arabic language and Moroccan culture. The scholarship is open to Arabic learners at all proficiency levels.
The winter session will take place from December 21, 2026 to January 15, 2027, lasting 4 weeks with 20 hours of instruction per week, for a total of 80 hours of Arabic language study.
Benefits
Al Minbar Institute offers 15 scholarships for the Winter 2026 session, divided into three levels of financial support:
- Grand Atlas Scholarship: A scholarship worth $720, covering 100% of tuition fees.
- Middle Atlas Scholarship: A scholarship worth $504, covering 70% of tuition fees.
- Anti-Atlas Scholarship: A scholarship worth $360, covering 50% of tuition fees.

Eligibility criteria
To apply for the Winter Atlas Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 16 and 45 years old.
- Be interested in learning Arabic or improving their Arabic language skills.
- Applicants of all Arabic proficiency levels are eligible.
- University students are preferred, although the official page does not state that this is a mandatory requirement.
- A recommendation letter from an Arabic language teacher is preferred.
- An academic transcript is preferred.
- The scholarship application must be submitted before the deadline.
