The Fundación de los Ferrocarriles Españoles – Spanish Railways Foundation announces the 33rd edition of the Caminos de Hierro Photography Contest 2026, an international photography competition that aims to encourage artistic creativity inspired by the world of railways and trains.
The competition is open to both professional and amateur photographers. Participants are invited to submit photographs related to railways in their many forms, including trains, stations, passengers, railway tracks, tunnels, metro systems, railway infrastructure, and other subjects connected to rail transport and railway culture.
Benefits
The total prize fund is EUR 8,400, distributed as follows:
- First Prize: EUR 4,500.
- Second Prize: EUR 2,300.
- 4 Special Mention Awards (Accésits): EUR 400 each.
Eligibility criteria
Submitted photographs must:
- Be related to the world of railways and trains.
- Be the applicant’s own original work.
- Be previously unpublished.
- Be limited to a maximum of two individual photographs per participant.
- Be submitted online only.
- Be uploaded in JPG format.
- Not exceed 1.5 MB per fileز
