Chance to Win 300 € at the 2021 Bünde Biennial Poster Contest

The Cultural Committee of the city of Bünde invites amateur and professional designers from around the world to participate in the 2021 Bünde Biennial Poster Contest. The contest wants the participants to explore the concept of "luck". 25 works will be selected from the entries by a jury and then exhibited in a vernissage on 17.09.2021 in the town hall in Bünde.

Contest Special Theme:

Contest special theme is "Happiness in Bünde", the contest is looking for moments of happiness that have been experienced or witnessed in Bünde city. Prizes will also be awarded for the best posters of the special theme.

The best three posters will receive a cash prize:

• First Place: 300 €
• Second Place: 200 €
• Third Place: 100 €

All persons are eligible to participate. No matter if you are a pupil, student, hobby designer. To keep it fair, there will be two categories, which applicants should indicate when submitting the poster. (A) for unprofessional participants (pupil and hobby designers) and (B) for professional participants (Students and graphic designers).

Posters can be submitted in both digital and analog formats. For category (A) applicants should submit posters in A2 or A3 format - portrait or landscape. For category (B) the portrait format in A1 is valid. there are no specifications regarding the type of presentation. The work can be photographic, graphic, typographic, or painting and analog techniques such as collages or other techniques.

Technical Details:

Digital:

• Poster Size A1 - Portrait Resolution: 300 DPI;
• Color Format: CMYK;
• Color Profile: ISO Coated 300%
• The poster must not be larger than 20MB.

Analog:

• Poster Size A2/A3.
• Portrait or landscape format is optional. Rolled possible/ do not fold.

A maximum of three works can be submitted per participant. it is also possible to work in teams of up to five people.

Bunde is a municipal district in East Frisia, in Lower Saxony, Germany, about 20 km (12 mi) south of Emden, Germany, and 50 km (30 mi) east of Groningen, Netherlands. It lies on the southern tip of the Dollart, a bay of the North Sea between Germany and the Netherlands, and has a land border with the Netherlands.
