Clip Studio Paint announces the opening of applications for the 48th International Illustration Contest, an international drawing and illustration competition held under the theme “Moon & Stars.” The contest invites artists from around the world to submit original illustrations inspired by the moon and stars, such as moonlit scenes or star-filled skies. Participants may use any software or artistic tools, provided that generative artificial intelligence is not used.
Benefits
- Grand Prize: USD 2,000 + a Clip Studio Paint EX activation code for a 3-year, two-device plan or 10,000 GOLD.
- Second Place: USD 500 + a Clip Studio Paint EX activation code for a 3-year, two-device plan or 10,000 GOLD.
- Third to Fifth Places: USD 200 for each winner + a Clip Studio Paint activation code for 1 year or 5,000 GOLD.
- Sixth to Tenth Places: USD 100 for each winner + a Clip Studio Paint PRO activation code for 1 year or 3,000 GOLD.

Eligibility criteria
- Applications are open to artists and illustrators from around the world.
- Applicants must submit an original artwork related to the theme “Moon & Stars.”
- Any software or artistic materials may be used, including traditional drawing, provided that the artwork is photographed for submission.
- The use of generative artificial intelligence is completely prohibited, whether in whole or in part.
- Copied or traced works from photos, videos, or illustrations that were not created by the applicant will not be accepted.
- Fan art or works depicting real people, existing characters, products, or trademarks will not be accepted.
- Participants may submit more than one artwork.
- The artwork must be posted during the submission period with the required hashtag.
