Opportunity description
Erasmus Mundus invites students from any region of the world to full funded master's scholarships that covers the entire duration of the Master course. You will have the chance to a unique multi-disciplinary, flexible and integrated curriculum. However, no more than three with the same nationality will be awarded in the same intake under the same category.
Benefits
If you get this scholarship, you will have:
- Participation costs:
- Up to 4,500 € per year per scholarship holder from a Program Country.
- Up to 9,000 € per year per scholarship holder from a Partner Country.
- Installation costs:
- 1,000 € per year per scholarship holder resident of a Program Country.
- 2,000 € per year for travel costs + 1,000 € for installation costs for a scholarship holder resident in a Partner Country whose location is situated at less than 4,000 km from the EMJMD.
- 3,000 € per year for travel costs + 1,000 € for installation costs for a scholarship resident in a Partner Country whose location is situated at 4.000 km or more.
- Subsistence costs:
- 1,000 € per month for the entire duration of the EMJMD study program (24 months maximum).
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, You must follow these terms:
- Students must first have secured a place on the degree program (unconditional or conditional).
- An interest in politics, international affairs, geography, history, law, languages, economics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, cultural and media studies would be beneficial.
- Scholarships are awarded exclusively for full-time enrollment in the course.
- GPA 3.0 or above.
- English Language proficiency.
- Scholarship candidates must have already obtained a first higher education degree or demonstrate a recognized equivalent level of learning according to national rules in place.
- Program offers will be made on a rolling basis.
- Students who are former Erasmus Mundus Master/Doctoral Course scholarship holders are not eligible for an additional EMJMD scholarship.
- Successful applicants cannot benefit from another EU grant while pursuing the EMJMD scholarship studies.
- Scholarships are dependent on both nationality and residency.
- Students with a double nationality (of a Partner and of a Programme Country) must specify the nationality under which they submit their scholarship application.
Please note:
- Unsuccessful scholarship applicants who are able to self-fund will be given four weeks from the announcement of the scholarship results to pay a £500 deposit.

Selection criteria
Your application will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Academic merit (30%).
- Supporting personal statement (40%).
- Quality of (academic) references (10%).
- Other (e.g. relevant research/professional experiences/interests: 20%).
