Film Contest for Filmmakers from Independent-Star Filmfest Munich

The ‘Independent-Star Filmfest Munich’ Festival invites all creative filmmakers all over the world to participate with their films and compete within the festival. Once a year the Independent Starfilmfest features an exciting mix of the best international short and feature films as well as discussion panels, workshops, networking and other activities to create an event out of the filmiest.

About the Festival:-

• The festival mission is to connect and bring worthy filmmakers to a wider attention to get connected for new chances and projects. 
• The Independent StarFilmfest offers a chance to independent filmmakers to honour their work by showcasing their artwork. Beside that, filmmakers have the chance to win one of the awards and prices for their films.

Trophies will be shipped to the winners in the following categories if the shipping costs are paid by the winners.

• Best Music video.
• Best Bavarian short - only for submitters or submissions related to Bavaria.
• Best Horror short.
• Best Mystery/Fantasy short.
• Best Web-Series.
• Best Documentary.
• Best Micro-short.
• Best Mid Lengths-short.
• Best Sports-short.
• Best Animation.

• All genre films will be accepted.
• Films must have been completed after January 1, 2017, or 3 years not being shown in germany. The festival committee will determine the production date of your film based on the copyright year listed in the end credits.
• All non-german/english language films must have english subtitles.
• Running time for Narrative shorts, Horror/Mystery/SciFi, Animation, Sport shorts: 40 minutes and under. 
• Running time for Mid Length-films: 40-70 minutes. 
• Running time for full length films: 70-140 minutes. 
• Running time for Micro shorts: 3 minutes and under. 
• Running time for web-series 30 minutes and under. 
• Running time for documentaries: any length. 
• Running time includes end credits. No exceptions.
• Each filmmaker can submit several projects, but each entry must be accompanied by a separate entry and fee.
• No film may be withdrawn from the festival program after its selection.
• Entry fees are non-refundable.
• The Festival reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or scheduling.
• The filmmaker certifies to have full rights. Producer will indemnify the organisers of the Festival against all claims, demands, costs, damages, expenses (including legal fees), proceedings and losses resulting from the screening of the film at the Festival or from claims by any third parties.
• It isn't necessary for submitters or Award winner filmmakers to be on location at the date of the festival. Award trophies will be shipped within Germany on the festival cost. Winning submitters in all other countries have to pay the shipping costs for the trophy by themselves.
