FASPE – Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics offers the Design & Technology Fellowship 2027, an intensive international program focused on professional ethics, responsibility, and ethical leadership in design and technology fields.
The fellowship combines academic study with site visits in Germany and Poland. Participants examine historical examples related to the roles of engineers, designers, and technologists, and then discuss contemporary ethical challenges facing professionals in technology, engineering, and design.

The fellowship welcomes applicants from fields such as:
- Engineering.
- Architecture.
- Design.
- Computer Science.
- Artificial Intelligence.
- Data Science.
- Urban Planning.
- Landscape Architecture.
- Statistics and Applied Mathematics.
- Electrical Engineering.
- Other related technical or design fields.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants should be pursuing a career in a design or technology-related field and fall into one of the following categories:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in an eligible field.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree and currently work in a related field.
- Hold a graduate degree and work in a related field.
- Be in the early stages of their professional career, generally with no more than 10 years of total professional experience.
- Demonstrate leadership potential, intellectual openness, self-reflection, and a willingness to engage respectfully and responsibly in complex ethical discussions.
