Opportunity description
FORMAS.AI, in collaboration with PAACADEMY and Parametric Architecture, and sponsored by OpenAI, is accepting entries for the CartesianForms: Architecture Reimagined 2026 competition, an international competition in the fields of architecture and AI-powered design for students, architects, designers, and creatives from around the world.
The competition aims to reimagine the future of architecture by combining artificial intelligence, architectural design, and sustainable innovation. Participants are required to select an existing site or building within a 50 × 50-meter area and develop an architectural vision showing how it could evolve across three future generations: 2030, 2055, and 2080. Proposals should preserve meaningful elements from the past while transforming them to meet future needs.
The 2026 AI Architectural Design Competition allows both individual and team participation across two categories: Students and Professionals. The competition offers a total of US$5,000 in cash prizes, in addition to usage credits, services, and technology and educational subscriptions, bringing the announced total value of prizes and participant benefits to more than US$120,000.
