Opportunity description
The World Artificial Intelligence Competition for Youth (WAICY) is accepting applications for its 2026 edition, an international artificial intelligence competition for children, students, and young people aged 6 to 18 from around the world.
WAICY 2026 aims to encourage students to explore the potential of artificial intelligence and use AI tools to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges, while strengthening their skills in creative thinking, problem-solving, and technological innovation.
Participants may enter individually or as part of a team in four main categories covering AI project development, AI-powered digital art and design, video production, and applications of large language models such as ChatGPT. The competition also allows remote participation, giving students from Arab countries the opportunity to present their projects to an international judging panel without the need to travel.
