Opportunity description

The Korean Federation of Design Industry Associations (KODIA) announces the opening of applications for the Global Design iT Award 2026, an international design award that aims to discover and support the best creative projects and works in the design sector, with a focus on innovation, public value, and the social impact of design.

The competition gives independent designers, design teams, companies, and creative studios from around the world the opportunity to present their projects to an international jury of experts from the design industry and academia.

The competition covers a wide range of fields, including product design, visual communication design, environmental design, service design, AI and new media design, ESG design, and safety design.

Competition Categories

  1. Product Design.
  2. Visual Communication Design.
  3. Environmental Design.
  4. AI and New Media Design.
  5. Service Design.
  6. ESG Design.
  7. Safety Design.

Participation Fees

  1. Early registration period: Free until August 16, 2026.
  2. Regular registration period: From August 17 to October 16, 2026.
  3. Regular registration fees:
    1. USD 50 for individuals.
    2. USD 100 for companies.

Awards

Winners will receive recognition awards across different levels, including:

  1. Grand Prize.
  2. Gold Prize.
  3. Silver Prize.
  4. Bronze Prize.
  5. Special awards presented by official Korean entities and specialized design institutions.

Eligibility criteria

  1. The competition is open to designers from all around the world.
  2. Individual designers, design teams, design companies, and creative studios can apply.
  3. Applicants must submit a design work or project within one of the approved categories.
  4. The project must be clear and evaluable through a visual presentation file and a brief description.
  5. Works can be submitted in physical, digital, service, environmental, or media design fields.

Application Requirements

  1. A PDF file containing a visual presentation of the project.
  2. Images, drawings, diagrams, or designs that explain the project idea.
  3. A brief project description of no more than 250 words.
  4. If there is a video or digital project, applicants may attach a link or QR code to the project content, such as a website, application, YouTube video, or Vimeo video.
  5. The project link must remain active during the judging period.
