International Photography Competition 2026 on the Maghreb and Africa with Cash Prizes

The Maghreb Photography Awards 2026 invites amateur and professional photographers from around the world to submit their photographic works to one of the leading contemporary photography competitions connected to the themes of the Maghreb and Africa. The competition aims to support photographic talent, highlight creative works, and give photographers the opportunity to gain international recognition and showcase their work in partner photography festivals and exhibitions.

The competition focuses on photographs and projects that reflect the Maghreb, Africa, culture, society, nature, street photography, portraiture, architecture, documentary photography, and different visual experiences.

• A cash prize of USD 500 for the winner of Maghreb Photographer of the Year.
• A cash prize of USD 400 for the Best Maghreb Photo Project.
• A cash prize of USD 300 for the Best African Photo Project.
• A cash prize of USD 200 for the Best Maghreb Photo of the Year.
• A cash prize of USD 200 for the Best African Photo of the Year.
• A cash prize of USD 200 for the Best Photo from Outside the Maghreb.
• An opportunity to showcase winning projects and photographs through partner photography events or exhibitions.
• Finalists and special mention recipients will receive certificates of recognition.
• An opportunity to increase the artistic and media visibility of winning and shortlisted photographers.

• Cash prizes for winners in the main categories.
• A total cash prize amount mentioned on the website of up to USD 2,000.
• The opportunity to showcase winners’ works at a partner photography festival, such as the Biennale de Dakar.
