The World Street Photo Awards 2026 is one of the international competitions and awards in photography, with a particular focus on street photography. It aims to discover talented photographers and highlight images that capture authentic moments and unseen stories from everyday life around the world.
The competition is open to professional, amateur, and student photographers from different countries.
Participants are encouraged to submit bold and original images that reflect the spirit of the street in a spontaneous and visually compelling way. The competition views street photography as a form of visual storytelling capable of documenting communities, cultures, and the details of everyday life.
Benefits
Compete for cash prizes totaling EUR 2,500, including EUR 500 for the Photographer of the Year winner.
The winner of each category receives EUR 100, along with recognition in the competition results.
Selected works will be showcased in an exhibition in Berlin and featured in the online winners’ gallery.
Winning and selected photographs will be included in the official WSPA Photobook, with opportunities for media coverage and international exposure.
Eligibility criteria
Applications are open to students and faculty members, independent designers, individual creatives, and entrepreneurial teams.
There is also a track for participants from outside China, including independent creatives, startup teams, and international joint teams.
Participants may submit digital works, design concepts, projects combining digital and physical products, or products with potential for further development and manufacturing.
All submitted works must be original and must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
Each project may be submitted to one track only.
Participation is completely free of charge.
