Opportunity description
Kunstraum Memphis, a contemporary art space in Linz, Austria, is accepting applications for Memphis Calling 2026, an opportunity for artists, curators, and cultural practitioners to submit innovative ideas for an exhibition to be presented in 2027.
The initiative seeks new artistic and curatorial perspectives addressing contemporary issues, including social, political, economic, environmental, and technological transformations. It particularly encourages experimental projects that bring together multiple artistic disciplines.
Applicants may apply individually, as a duo, or as an artistic group. Proposals should present a clear concept for an exhibition that brings together multiple artworks or artistic contributions, rather than focusing primarily on the applicant’s own work.
The selected project will be presented at Kunstraum Memphis in Linz between mid-January and the end of February 2027, with the exhibition running for approximately four to five weeks.
