Oslo International Short Film Festival 2027 in Norway

The Oslo Short Film Festival is accepting submissions from filmmakers worldwide for its 2026 edition.

The festival aims to support emerging and independent filmmaking talent by screening short films before an international audience and a specialised jury. Participation gives filmmakers the opportunity to increase the visibility of their work, reach new audiences, and build professional connections within the film industry.

Selected filmmakers will receive:

• The opportunity to screen their film at an international film festival in Norway.
• Access to an international audience interested in cinema and filmmaking.
• Networking opportunities with directors, producers, and filmmakers from different countries.
• Greater visibility for the film and increased opportunities to participate in other festivals.
• The chance to compete for awards presented by the festival across its various categories.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• The applicant must own the film or hold the legal rights required to submit it.
• The film must be fully completed at the time of submission.
• Various types of short films are accepted, including fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental films.
• Filmmakers of all nationalities are eligible to apply.
