Opportunity description

The Nexus Public Policy Institute (NPPI) has opened applications for the Nexus Youth Exchange 2026, an international youth exchange programme lasting 4 days, to be held in Madrid, Spain, from November 6 to 9, 2026.

The programme brings together young people from around the world in an experience focused on cultural exchange, collaborative learning, global dialogue, leadership, and international networking. It offers participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences and engage with young people, leaders, and changemakers from diverse backgrounds.

Fully Funded

Participants selected under the Fully Funded category will receive:

  • Round-trip airfare.
  • Accommodation in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
  • Daily breakfast and lunch.
  • An official accommodation confirmation letter for visa purposes.
  • An official invitation letter.
  • Visa guidance and support.
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off.
  • Full participation in all programme activities.
  • An official participant kit and materials.
  • An opportunity to speak or give a presentation during the programme.
  • A Nexus Youth Exchange completion certificate.
  • A cultural tour and experience in Madrid.
  • Lifetime membership in the Nexus Alumni Network.

Partially Funded

Participants accepted under the Partially Funded category will receive most of the benefits listed above, including:

  • Hotel accommodation.
  • Breakfast and lunch.
  • Invitation letter and visa support.
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off.
  • Access to all programme activities.
  • A participation certificate.
  • A cultural tour in Madrid.
  • Membership in the Nexus Alumni Network.

Eligibility criteria

  • Applications are open to young people of all nationalities.
  • The programme targets students, graduates, professionals, entrepreneurs, young leaders, and changemakers.
  • Applicants should have an interest in leadership, cultural exchange, international dialogue, and building global connections.
  • No specific academic field is required.
  • Previous experience in youth exchange programmes is not required.
  • Applicants must be able to participate in the programme in Madrid, Spain, from November 6 to 9, 2026.
  • Applicants must complete the application form and submit a motivation letter of up to 250 words.
  • Applicants must pay the application processing fee for the selected application category.
  • Admission to the Fully Funded or Partially Funded categories is competitive and limited, and submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
