Participate in the the 7 Day Story Writing Challenges and Win £500 from Globe Soup

Globe Soup is inviting creative writers all over the world to participate in the 7 Day Story Writing Challenges. The winner of the challenge will receive £500 and have their story published on the Globe Soup website.

About the Challenges:-

• Each challenge runs for exactly 7 days. 
• Before a new challenge begins, all those who have registered will be randomly divided into 12 groups. Each group corresponds to a different genre. 
• When the challenge begins you will receive an email with your randomly assigned genre and the secret challenge theme. 
• All participants receive the same theme but must write a short story of no more than 2,000 words, inspired by the theme, written in the genre assigned to them.
• You have exactly 7 days to write and submit your story. 
• Globe Soup will choose 12 finalists, one from each genre and an overall winner.
• When you receive the theme and your genre, it is up to you if you want to take part.
• Once registered, you will be randomly assigned a genre each time a new challenge begins and there will be a new theme for each challenge. 
• If you don’t feel inspired by the theme and genre you can wait for the next challenge. There is no need to re-register each time.

• Crime.
• Chick Lit.
• Historical.
• Dystopian.
• Western.
• Horror.
• Romance.
• Magical Realism.
• Thriller.
• Fantasy.
• Science Fiction.
• Paranormal.

The winner of the challenge will receive £500 and have their story published on the Globe Soup website.

• The competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over at the time of entering. International entries are welcome.
• All entries must be written in English.
• Entries must be fiction.
• You must register for the competition using your real name. You can only register once.
• There is one secret theme for each challenge. All participants will receive the same theme. Participants will find out the theme in an email which will also include their randomly assigned genre and submission instructions. 
• You can mix genres, but your assigned genre should not be overshadowed by the genre you decide to combine it with.
• All entries must be written for adult or young adult readers. Stories aimed at children are not allowed. 
• Entries must be the participants own, original work. 
• Entries must not include photographs or illustrations. 
• Entries can be resubmitted until the closing time. The last version we receive will be the one sent to the judges.
• Only one submission per person. If you end up writing more than one story during the challenge, you must choose only one to submit for judging.
• Participation is totally free.
