The Grand Prix de la Photographie in Morocco – Le Grand Prix de la Photographie has opened submissions for its third edition in 2026. It is one of the artistic awards and competitions dedicated to photography, aiming to discover talent, strengthen the role of photography as a medium for artistic expression and documentation, and contribute to enriching Morocco’s visual memory.
The total prize value for the 2026 edition is MAD 100,000. The competition features three new categories that invite participants to present different visual perspectives on Morocco through heritage, everyday life, and technical and aesthetic experimentation in photography.
The competition is open to photographers residing in the Kingdom of Morocco, whether amateurs or experienced photographers. Minors may also participate under the responsibility of their legal representative. Applications are submitted online, and each applicant receives 3 free entries to upload three photographs, with the possibility of obtaining additional entries through the voting system or by purchasing extra entry packages.
Competition Categories
1. Heritage Category: “Rituels de Saveurs”
This category focuses on Moroccan culinary heritage as part of the country’s living cultural heritage. The theme is not limited to photographing dishes; participants may also capture preparation processes, ingredients, the hands preparing the food, traditional tools, dining tables, hospitality rituals, and customs that reflect the identity of Moroccan regions, families, and culture.
2. Popular Category: “Le Quartier”
This category invites photographers to document everyday life in Moroccan neighborhoods, including streets, people, shops, children, social interactions, and simple moments that reflect the spirit, memory, and daily life of the neighborhood.
3. Technical Category: “Contrastes”
This category focuses on using contrast as a central element in photographic composition, whether through light and shadow, colors, textures, scale, distance, exposure, or the relationship between different elements within the image, with an emphasis on strong composition and visual impact.

Eligibility criteria
- The applicant must be a resident of the Kingdom of Morocco.
- Adults may participate directly.
- Minors may participate under the responsibility of a parent, guardian, or legal representative.
- Submitted photographs must be original and taken by the participant.
- The participant must hold the necessary rights to use the submitted photographs.
- Intellectual property rights and the rights of people appearing in the photographs must be respected.
- Required consent must be obtained when photographing identifiable individuals, especially minors.
- Participants must comply with the technical requirements and competition rules when uploading their photographs.
Each participant receives:
- 3 free photo entries that can be uploaded at no cost.
- The option to purchase a package of 10 additional entries for MAD 200.
- More than one package may be purchased in accordance with the platform’s terms.
- The voting system allows participants to earn one additional free entry after collecting 350 points.
