ESCWA announces a regional workshop entitled "Streets for Life: Making Walking and Cycling Safe." This year, ESCWA is participating in the eighth United Nations Global Road Safety Week (12-18 May 2025) under the theme "Streets for Life: Making Walking and Cycling Safe," by organizing a regional workshop on 14 May with the participation of representatives of member states and relevant regional and non-governmental organizations.

This year's eighth United Nations Global Road Safety Week focuses on making walking and cycling safe. It highlights concrete interventions that can be implemented by various stakeholders, including governments, international agencies, civil society, businesses, and schools, to facilitate the shift toward healthier, greener, more sustainable, and economically beneficial modes of transport.
Eligibility criteria
- This event will be held in Beirut, Lebanon.
