Opportunity description
The Royal Entomological Society, a UK-based society devoted to the study of insects, announces its 2025 Insect Photography Competition. The competition is open to amateur photographers of all ages and nationalities; professional photographers are ineligible.
This competition encourages participants to explore and capture the fascinating world of insects through photography. Photographs entered for the Competition should feature an insect (or group of insects) occurring naturally in the situation in which it is photographed. The subject can be of any life-stage, from egg through nymph, larva or pupa to adult, and can be an insect from anywhere in the world.
Each participant may submit up to three photos.
Entry Fee: The competition is free to enter.
Prizes:
- 1st prize (18 and over): \"£750\"
- 2nd prize (18 and over): \"£500\"
- 1st prize (Under 18): \"£450\"
- 2nd prize (Under 18): \"£250\"
