Opportunity description
The Hopper Prize offers an international grant program for artists designed to support visual artists at different stages of their careers, from emerging artists to more established practitioners. The program provides direct, unrestricted financial support, along with opportunities for visibility and exposure to an international audience of curators, gallery professionals, and art collectors.
The Hopper Prize opens for applications twice a year. In each cycle, a group of artists is selected to receive financial grants based on the quality of their work and their future potential. The program accepts submissions across a wide range of artistic disciplines, styles, and media.
Benefits
Receive an unrestricted cash grant of USD 4,500 or USD 1,000.
Artists may use the funding to support their artistic practice and career without being required to apply it to a specific project.
30 artists are selected in each cycle to have their work included in The Hopper Prize’s digital archive.
Selected artists gain exposure to an international network of curators, gallery owners, art collectors, and other art professionals.
Submitted work may also be selected for additional exposure through The Hopper Prize’s Instagram account.
The program can help strengthen the artist’s professional profile and reach new audiences within the visual arts sector.
