The WIC Global Youth Leaders 2026 Program invites outstanding young people in the fields of the internet, information and communication technology, artificial intelligence, digital governance, innovation, and tech entrepreneurship to apply for participation in a global program organized by the World Internet Conference (WIC).
The program aims to select young leaders from around the world to take part in international activities, including forums, training, research, and knowledge exchange on the future of the internet and digital transformation.

Receive an official certificate titled Global Youth Leader from WIC.
An opportunity to attend the WIC Wuzhen Summit 2026 in China as an official guest.
The possibility to deliver a speech or participate in the Youth Forum during the summit.
Round-trip airfare, accommodation, and meals may be provided upon submitting a support request.
An opportunity to network with high-level representatives from governments, international organizations, global internet companies, experts, and academics.
The possibility to organize workshops or activities within future WIC summits and forums.
Priority access to internship and job opportunities within the international WIC organization.
Candidates who reach the final review stage but are not selected receive a nomination certificate and an opportunity to join the WIC youth community.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must be under 45 years old.
- Applicants should have a clear interest or achievement in the field of the internet or information and communication technology.
- Applicants may come from fields such as digital policy, business, scientific research, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, big data, digital governance, or digital community work.
- Applicants should have an international outlook and a desire to contribute to the WIC youth community.
- Applicants should demonstrate diverse and interdisciplinary thinking.
- Applicants should have good public speaking, presentation, and communication skills.
- Applicants should be willing to contribute ideas or initiatives that support the future of the internet and global digital cooperation.
Selection Stages
- Application Stage: Until July 24, 2026.
- Review Stage: Until the end of August 2026.
- Notification Stage: Until the end of September 2026.
- Participation Stage: Expected to take place in early November 2026 during the WIC Wuzhen Summit.
Required Documents
- A recommendation letter from a relevant institution or a recognized professional.
- Supporting documents such as research papers, awards, patents, or professional achievements.
- An introductory video explaining the applicant’s views on the WIC Global Youth Leaders initiative, with suggestions for activities or projects that could be implemented.
- A written transcript of the video content.
