Opportunity description

AstraZeneca initiative is calling the upcoming young pharma and medical talents to participate in "Astra Fekra" competition that with the objective of coming up with innovative ideas to support the Egyptian patients in the areas of Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Respiratory, or Oncology, leveraging Science and Technology. 

Eligibility 

  •  Pharmacy Students in their 4th and 5th year along with Fresh Graduates, one-year post graduation.
  • Medical Students in the 6th Year and House Officers ( from Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Faculties).                                          

Rules

  • Participants must submit projects that cover areas like Patient awareness, patient education, support to healthcare givers, leveraging science to support the Egyptian patient in the field of Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Respiratory or Oncology. 
  • The projects need to leverage technology or to reflect an innovation, preferably digital.
  •  Paripicants can submit individually or as a group of 3 people.                            

Criteria

Successful projects need to fulfil the following:

  1. Impactful: An idea/ initiative that is Impactful/ serving wide pool of patients on the long-term.
  2. Innovative: Innovative leveraging digital technology.
  3. Feasible: Feasible/ achievable with measurable outcomes.
  4. Fulfilling: Fulfilling unmet community need(s).
  5. Unique: Unique and original ideas.

Award        

The winners will be sponsored to visit Cambridge for 3 Days to Visit AstraZeneca R&D site in the UK.
