The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) is accepting scholarship applications to support postgraduate students and early-career researchers who wish to participate in the Second Southeast Asian Conference on Arts and Humanities (SEACAH 2027).
The conference will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 15–19 February 2027. It provides researchers with an opportunity to present their work and discuss key issues in the arts and humanities within an international and multidisciplinary academic environment.
Two types of scholarships are available:
- A full scholarship covering travel, accommodation, and conference registration costs.
- A partial scholarship covering the conference registration fee.
Applicants must submit a high-quality research abstract and have it accepted for presentation before progressing to the final stage of the scholarship selection process.

The conference welcomes research abstracts across a broad range of arts and humanities disciplines, including:
- Arts education and learning.
- Arts management and cultural policy.
- Visual and performing arts.
- Theatre, dance, and music.
- Literature, media arts, and digital arts.
- Media, film, and communication studies.
- Design and aesthetics.
- Language and linguistics.
- Philosophy and ethics.
- History and literary studies.
- Political science and globalization.
- Migration, refugees, and identity.
- Gender and family studies.
- Religion and spirituality.
- Technology and cyberspace.
- The environment, science, and their relationship with the humanities.
The 2027 conference also encourages research related to technology and artificial intelligence, global citizenship, education for peace, leadership, and human intelligence.

Eligibility criteria
Applications are open to:
- Students currently enrolled in a master’s degree program.
- Students currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program.
- Academics and researchers at the beginning of their professional careers.
- Applicants who obtained a postgraduate qualification within the previous five years.
- Researchers with an outstanding abstract relevant to the conference themes.
- Applicants who are able to present their research in English.
