Grant for Engineering and Information Technology Research Students from the University of Melbourne in Australia 2021

The University of Melbourne in Australia is offering a grant to research students of the School of Engineering and Information Technology to cover their travel expenses to attend conferences during their studies.

• A single payment of $1,500. This payment will either be made directly to the student or as a reimbursement to a supervisor account that has funded the conference travel.
• Students will only be awarded this funding once during their degree.

Variation for 2021 due to travel restrictions:

• Due to current international travel restrictions, funding will be awarded to cover conference fees for attendance at virtual and, as domestic travel becomes available, domestic conferences. As these costs are likely to be less than the $1,500 set awarding amount, students will be eligible to make multiple applications over time until the $1,500 amount has been awarded.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

• be post-confirmation (considerations may be made in exceptional circumstances)
• not have completed more than 4 years FTE
• be presenting your research at the conference
• not have previously received this conference funding.
