The CA4SH Photography Competition 2026 invites amateur and professional photographers from around the world to submit photographs that highlight the role of women farmers and women working in agriculture, land stewardship, and the restoration of soil health.
The competition is held in celebration of the International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026. It aims to shed light on women’s contributions to sustainable agriculture, food systems, soil health, and resilience in the face of climate change.

Eligibility criteria
- The competition is open to individuals from all countries around the world.
- Applicants must be 18 years old or older at the time of application.
- Amateur and professional photographers may participate.
- Employees or contractors of CA4SH, the Secretariat of the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, jury members, or their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
- Clear consent must be obtained from any people appearing in the submitted photos.
Photo Requirements
- Photos must show women farmers or women actively involved in agriculture, land stewardship, or soil restoration.
- Photos must be related to the competition theme of women farmers and soil health.
- Photos must be the participant’s original work.
- Photos generated using artificial intelligence are not allowed.
- Major digital edits that alter the truth or realistic representation of the photo are not allowed.
- Each participant may submit up to 3 photos only.
- Photos must be submitted in high-resolution JPEG or PNG format.
- Photos must have suitable resolution for printing and exhibitions, with a minimum of 300 DPI.
- Basic edits are allowed, such as cropping, lighting adjustment, color correction, and white balance.
- Composite images or photos that include misleading edits will not be accepted.
