Jordanian Fulbright Scholar Research Award (Post-Doctoral) 2024-2025

The Jordanian American Exchange Commission, Fulbright, is offering a research grant for the academic year 2024-2025. This program is designed for Jordanian researchers interested in pursuing a collaborative research project in the United States for a period of at least three (3) months to a maximum of nine (9) months. Only those who currently hold a PhD are eligible to compete for this scholarship.

What Does Fulbright Cover:

This scholarship covers the following:

• Monthly living allowance
• Visa fees
• Health insurance
• This scholarship covers air ticket fees

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum requirements:

• To be a Jordanian national
• You must have a PhD
• Be a full-time faculty member at a Jordanian university
• Have at least five postdoctoral publications

Note: Fulbright scholars enter the United States on an Exchange Visitor (J-1) visa, under a Department of State exchange program, and are subject to the two-year home-country residency requirement at the end of their research award in the U.S.

About Fulbright Jordan:

The Jordanian-American Education Exchange Commission, also known as the Fulbright Commission in Jordan, was established through a bilateral agreement signed in May 1993 between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United States with annual funding by both countries. The Committee seeks to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the Jordanian and American peoples by facilitating academic and cultural exchanges for American and Jordanian citizens. The Commission is an independent, nonprofit, and national organization responsible for administering prestigious grants awarded on a competitive basis to Jordanian and American students, teachers, and scholars to study, teach, lecture, and conduct research in the United States and Jordan, under the Fulbright Worldwide Exchange Program.
