The University of Sussex in the UK is offering the Dr John Birch Music Scholarship (Organ) to support one selected organ player to continue to develop and perform while studying at Sussex. This scholarship is open to all current undergraduate and postgraduate students at Sussex, whether or not they are studying Music.
Benefits
£800 cash award. In addition, the selected recipient will receive access to the music practice rooms in the School of Media, Arts, and Humanities (MAH). All applicants who reach the audition stage, regardless of the success of their application, will be offered the opportunity to be part of a list of performers who are willing to perform at events around campus or are interested in collaboration with other musicians.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Have obtained Grade 8 or equivalent in organ playing.
- Be an applicant or current student at the University of Sussex (open to applicants for 2021 entry)
