Opportunity description
The Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) in Brazil is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in nuclear physics. The fellowship is offered within a research project investigating emergent dynamics in exotic nuclear systems and their applications in particle physics and theoretical physics.
The selected researcher will participate in advanced studies of nucleon structure, with a particular focus on calculating structure functions, generalized transverse-momentum-dependent distributions (GTMDs), and electromagnetic and gravitational form factors using continuum dynamical methods.
The fellowship also offers the opportunity to join a specialized theoretical physics research team and develop advanced numerical models for investigating the internal structure of fundamental particles.
Benefits
- Receive a monthly stipend of BRL 12,570.
- Join an advanced research project in nuclear physics.
- Work at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) in Brazil.
- Conduct research on nucleon structure and properties.
- Apply modern numerical and dynamical methods in theoretical physics.
- Collaborate with researchers specializing in nuclear and particle physics.
- Publish scientific research and participate in international conferences.
- Develop expertise in mathematical modelling and theoretical calculations.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold a PhD in nuclear physics, hadron physics, particle physics, or quantum field theory.
- Have experience using numerical methods.
- Have experience with symbolic algebra and computational software.
- Preferably have experience with non-perturbative methods in quantum field theory.
- Be capable of conducting independent scientific research and working effectively within a research team.
