Volunteer Opportunity in the UAE from the Community Development Authority in the Campaign (They Don't Bother)

Ataa Hamdan Volunteer Team, in cooperation with the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, is offering a volunteer opportunity in the campaign (they don't bother). Event area: Warsan - Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services. Event days: Throughout business days.

Timing:

• The first period: 7 am to 11 am
• The second period: 11 am to 4 pm

Expiry of the Volunteer Agreement

The volunteer agreement ends in any of the following cases:

• The end of the Volunteer Work or the expiration of the Volunteer Agreement term.
• One of the parties to the Volunteer Agreement notifies the other party of its desire to terminate the Volunteering Agreement while it is still in force, provided that such notification is in writing and takes place within a reasonable period before the expiry of the period specified in the Volunteer Agreement.
• A breach by one of the parties to the agreement of its obligations stipulated in the volunteering agreement.
• The volunteer’s death or illness prevents him from carrying out the volunteer work.
• Sentencing the volunteer with a penalty restricting freedom by virtue of a final court ruling.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY:

The volunteer shall be exempted from civil and criminal liability to the same extent enjoyed by the employee of the Volunteering Entity, provided that all necessary controls and conditions are met for exemption from liability, in particular, the following:

• To be registered with the Authority.
• The volunteer agreement concluded between him and the volunteer entity shall be valid.
• That he had received adequate training, and that his volunteer work should not exceed the work he was trained in.
• That the Volunteer Work done by him is in good faith, with the aim of carrying out the Volunteer Work specified in the Volunteer Agreement, and not to receive any reward or personal benefit.
• There should be no negligence or error on the part of the Volunteer.
• Responsibility of the Volunteer Entity:
• The Volunteering Entity shall be responsible to third parties for the results of the Volunteer Work performed by the Volunteer.

About Community Development Authority (CDA):

The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans. CDA is in charge of the overall supervision to achieve social sector outputs, and provide the provisions of social services in order to create an integrated and efficient management system for the development of social services in the emirate.
