Universiti Malaya

Universiti Malaya (UM) is the oldest university in Malaysia and is located in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. Its origins date back to 1905, and it later developed into one of the leading research universities in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The university offers academic and research programs across a wide range of disciplines, including coursework-based, research-based, mixed-mode, and clinical programs, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Universiti Malaya is currently ranked 56th globally in the QS World University Rankings 2027, making it the highest-ranked university in Malaysia. It also hosts a large international student community representing dozens of countries around the world.
