<p>The University of Melbourne in <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/opportunity" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Australia</a> offers <a href="https://www.for9a.com/opportunity/category/scholarships/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">scholarships</a> in all disciplines to high-achieving students undertaking graduate research at the University of Melbourne. The university will award approximately 600 scholarships. The duration of each scholarship depends on the student&rsquo;s course.</p><h3>Eligibility Criteria:</h3><p><strong>To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:</strong></p><ul><li>have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne, or be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.</li></ul><p><strong>To be eligible to apply for graduate research degrees:</strong></p><ul><li>you&#39;re normally required to have completed at least a four-year Australian <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/opportunity" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bachelor&#39;s degree</a> or equivalent and achieved an overall average of greater than 75% in the relevant degree.</li><li>You&#39;re also normally required to have completed a research project/component that accounts for at least 25% of your year&#39;s work at the 4th-year undergraduate or master&rsquo;s level.</li><li>Some courses may have higher or additional entry requirements. Check the course details to learn what these are.</li></ul><h3>Selection Criteria:</h3><p>Eligible applicants are assessed on academic merit. Eligible applicants are scored and ranked according to their academic achievement of their last completed degree and their research potential in their field of study. Factors such as completion of a degree at the same level of the research course for which the scholarship is sought, relevant professional experience, refereed publications, specialist medical qualifications or composition of original music may be taken into consideration.</p><h3>Benefits:</h3><ul><li>Full fee offset for up to two years for students undertaking a <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/opportunity" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Masters</a> by Research degree or up to four years for students undertaking a <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/opportunity" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">doctoral degree</a>.</li><li>Living allowance of $31,200 per year pro-rata (2020 full-time study rate) for up to two years for students undertaking a Masters by Research degree or up to 3.5 years for students undertaking a doctoral degree.
